Color & Future
Within the project Colour & Future, the basics of methodical process steps are taught in order to create colour, material and trend concepts .
The project was developed in cooperation with Artesanías de Colombia (ADC), a company that works with Colombian artisans. The goal of the project is to inspire artisans for architectural surfaces using colors, shapes, and textures that are trendsetting in Europe, thus providing them with flexible design elements for their techniques.
TENDENCIAS ARTESANAS features six distinct patterns, inspired by and divided into two main groups (curves and lines) . The goal of this collection is to combine and evolve Colombian artisan traditions with European trends, creating new inspiration without losing the essence of the makers' roots. To this end, in the search for new ideas, I identified and transformed patterns woven from existing geometries and shapes.
From Colombia to the world
Naturally, curved lines are associated with elegance and delicacy; they express rhythm and movement; they are soft and flowing, and attractive in their own right. They ensure that every object within them is highlighted and better perceived in the various spaces in which they are located.

Meaningful design
Vertical lines draw the eye upwards: they give a design height, formality, growth, spirituality, grandeur and strength, while horizontal lines make the environment appear wider and lower, so they open up a great deal of design freedom when working with them.
